Queen A Night at the Opera
Voto:
It's full of groups that were doing overdubs before Queen, but I probably misunderstood here, since it's a cliché that anyone knows, even the most ignorant person about rock music. What exactly did you mean?
As for originality, there wasn't any; they simply played 40 different genres instead of two, at most three, like other bands did. This could still be a positive thing, I'm not arguing about that (although I don't think it is), but every single genre they tried already existed, and often it was done better (listen to Zappa, T. Rex, Slade, just to name a few). The exception is "Stone Cold Crazy," which is indeed an avant-garde thrash, although, as I said before, the Yardbirds had already arrived at that with "Stroll On," even if I admit that Queen went much further. They made memorable tracks, with strengths in their arrangement (but beware! Sometimes their excessive baroque style in arrangement was a weakness!), a striking melodic talent, and the amazing voice of the vocalist. However, I've heard very few completely good albums, and none were masterpieces. The fact that no one sounds like them doesn't mean they are too genius for anyone to imitate; it's due to what I said earlier: Queen don't play a single genre, but 40 genres, and yes, no other band besides them tries to recreate these 40 genres! However, there have been musicians who, from time to time, have done something that reminded one of the genres interpreted by Queen (look at how much that idiot Mika has sold recently!).
They're a good band, too underrated by critics, but frankly, I don't see their importance; if they had never existed, it would have been the same thing (precisely because no one follows in their footsteps, we can say that their influence has been nonexistent, despite their great commercial success).
Feel free to listen to them, by all means! But let's not say things like "they're unclassifiable," because that's not true, and especially let’s not say "they're great because they're unclassifiable."

Okay, sorry.
I interpreted it that way because of your final sentence and the vote, but now I understand everything.

I wrote the review precisely in the hope that someone would give me more information since the album piqued my curiosity, and in any case, I recommend it to enthusiasts. Anyway, I provided useful information, certainly more than what was already available online, so I did well to write the review. Now, I don't expect you to say "thank you," but at least don't call it a "provocation"! It's a review like any other, and the attacks on other users (whom you don’t know, so don’t express yourself on the matter) were made in the comments, not in the review itself.
Anyway, the same responses I gave to Ghemison apply to you. If I write these things, you all jump on me right away, but when people attacked me for no reason, it was all fine. Alright! At least you haven’t insulted me, and I appreciate that, but there are still some anonymous trolls who just offend and nothing more.
Important: stop commenting on the style of the review because I couldn’t care less! If you want to rate it, do so in order to dissuade others, but don’t come writing "bland review" or similar stuff because the only thing I care about is making albums known and providing useful information. I assure you that if I want to, I can write very well (I’ve written humorous stories, songs, and newspaper articles).

One of the greatest, if not the greatest!

Avoid saying the name Pino Daniele down here: it might happen that someone searches for "Pino Daniele" on Google and ends up on the review of these losers! It would be a shame, right?

The texts of Jacula, obviously, not the Stars of Mario Schifano!

You're right, but let's remember, just so we don't see everything in black, that in '67 in Italy "Dedicato a" by the Stelle Di Mario Schifano was released (so, there were some courageous musicians after all!)! However, I really don't like the lyrics! Usually, I can overlook a song's lyrics if I don't like them, but these make me truly uncomfortable, and I can't stand them!

Maybe I've already lost some of it. Eh, enthusiasm is a tricky beast! I’ll understand exactly what they represent for me in a few months; for now, I note that I’ve stopped listening to them.

Of course the album isn't perfect; masterpieces never are! I don't understand all this excitement for "Atlas"; in my opinion, the best track is "Tonto."

Look, I don't know, from the lyrics it wouldn't seem so (there's a line that says "even gays are ok," but it's also true that it's hard to grasp the meaning of their songs).
