Genesis 3 x 3 EP
Voto:
The three tracks are in increasing order of quality: "Paperlate" is truly poor from every standpoint, "You Might Recall" is nice even if it's nothing transcendental... while "Me And Virgil" isn't too bad at all. I'm not giving a rating because after all it's an EP (official reason), and because I feel bad giving a low score to Genesis (unofficial reason).

Ah strange then... still try reinstalling the audio drivers. It certainly won't do any harm!

Resetting the computer means pressing the reset button and making it boot up again (even if in a not very "healthy" way). Are you by any chance referring to formatting? - In that case, you need to reinstall the drivers for your audio card... because if the sound is bad, it means that the ones you (or Windows) installed are for a similar card but not perfectly compatible. - Let me know if it got back to normal afterwards...

I listen to it often, and I always find it very beautiful and definitely well made. Of course, it’s more commercial than its predecessors, but that doesn’t seem like a valid reason to label it as a fake. I reaffirm the rating I gave both in my old review and in a comment (I think) on Aniel's: 4 stars!

Beautiful Pibroch... I feel like I've heard this record a while ago, but I'm not so sure about it. I'll go look for it again!

In my opinion, it’s a pleasant and catchy album. It is enjoyable to listen to, even if it’s not a masterpiece. Alongside some stunning songs (such as "Blood On Stone" or the magnificent "Cross That Line"), there is unfortunately a considerable number of fillers ("Seven Days," "First Touch") and tracks that are 'passable but absolutely generic' (see the title track). In the end, it manages to reach a satisfactory level. - If I had to buy an album from their AOR period, I would definitely pick "Abominog"; whereas, if I had to choose from any album post-Hensley, I would lean towards the excellent "Sea Of Light" and "Sonic Origami."

A simply out-of-this-world live show!

Well done, Ardalo... what you’ve described is truly a good hardprog album, which manages to combine really intense moments (e.g. "No More Wild Horses") with other melodic and more introspective ones ("J.L.T"). - Great find!

My comment could be a summary of those by Templare, Flood, and Iside. The album is indeed enjoyable and quite pleasant to listen to... even if a bit lackluster and with a few too many dead moments. Despite the results being far from despicable, the reunion with Tony Visconti has not been as fruitful as expected: for me, albums like "1. Outside" or even "Earthling" are much better.

Great as always Pibroch... I need to dig deeper into them!
