I definitely prefer the next one, "A Farewell To Kings," but this one is no joke either... a masterpiece in its own right. I'm discovering Rush, with a bit of a delay, only recently. What a great band!
The Trip The Trip

Excellent job, Roof, and congratulations on the reissue. The album is absolutely noteworthy, a great meeting point between progressive and psychedelia... Blackmore, even though he had left before the release of this album, leaves a heavy legacy: the guitarist here (Billy Gray if progarchives is right) closely mimics the style of the great Ritchie. Back to the album: in my opinion, all the tracks are of high quality... particularly "Prologo" and "Incubi" stand out.

Great review... the movie, like all of Bud's films, is part of my childhood. Anyway, it's light and enjoyable to watch (the problem is that they keep replaying them endlessly, and over time they lose some of their charm). - @Il_paolo... if you want and whenever you want (of course!) could you do me a favor? Would you write a nice review of "Yuppies: i giovani di successo" or "Italian Fast Food"? I'm really curious to see what comes out of it, haha...
Whitesnake Good To Be Bad

Damn, I didn't know about this new studio album. Unfortunately, these comebacks are often poorly marketed (or maybe I'm just living in another world? Could be!). From how you describe it, it sounds really interesting. I'll get it when it comes out.

A pleasant album but nothing more: excellent "Play The Game" and "Save Me," nice the hit "Another One Bites The Dust" (even if, as has already been noted, it's not the height of originality)... but the rest feels very much like filler. The classic record to listen to, for example, without much effort, maybe in the car.
Pink Floyd A Momentary Lapse Of Reason

Honestly, I like it: for example, "Learning To Fly," "On The Turning Away," and especially the instrumental "Terminal Frost" seem to me to be high-level tracks. Of course, we are in the '80s, and the group’s creative mind par excellence, Roger Waters, is not present... and moreover, this is more of a Gilmour solo album rebranded as PF for convenience, etc., etc. - Still, I don’t think it’s bad at all, and overall it seems more enjoyable than "The Final Cut" (good, but really a brick!). If I'm not mistaken, two or three tracks from "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" had also been proposed years earlier for, precisely, "The Final Cut"... but the now-master Waters wanted to do everything himself. - Rating: 3 and a half stars.
Premiata Forneria Marconi Per un Amico
Voto:
Absolutely magnificent, among the best albums by PFM alongside "L'Isola Di Niente" and their two respective English counterparts. However, as I mentioned in a previous review of "Per Un Amico," I prefer the equivalent "Photos Of Ghosts" because, in my opinion, it is better arranged and also more complete... still, I certainly won't deny the 5 to the original Italian! - PS: this review has nothing to do with the album in question... it's more a discussion about Dream Theater (again here?!?!). Absolutely avoidable since, if I'm not mistaken, there were already two of them.

Please, no more duplicates... everything and more has already been said about this (wonderful) album.
The Who It's Hard
Voto:
It's not the best, but it's not terrible either. Yes, it's a formulaic album, made just for the sake of it... but there are always some excellent ideas: the brilliant "Eminence Front," great "Cry If You Want," and "I Know No War"... and even the others, on average, are quite listenable. - A tip... stay away from the remastered/remixed version that you find in stores today (which is the one from 1995, if I'm not mistaken). If you can, get your hands on the record with the original mixing, which definitely has a lot more to offer!
Ivan Reitman Ghostbusters - Acchiappafantasmi

Amazing... a movie that marked my childhood. Even today, I enjoy watching it every time it’s repeated on TV. Ghostbusters II is good too - I agree with S4doll's comment.
