John Lennon & Yoko Ono Wedding Album
Voto:
John Lennon has never really inspired me much: I vastly prefer Paul McCartney. Back to the point... this album, if it can be called that, I had the (dis)pleasure of listening to out of sheer curiosity. This isn't avant-garde, it's just complete nonsense! (Rating: zero). Fortunately, a few years later he will return to the traditional song format that suits him much better... even if I still can’t bring myself to like it that much even then.
Steve Hackett Guitar Noir & There Are Many Sides To The Night
Voto:
Great choice Adder! Steve Hackett is truly a wizard... Like Giona, I also own these two albums, separated from each other. However, "Guitar Noir" is amazing: very varied, with moments of incredible intensity... for example, listen to "A Vampire With A Healthy Appetite" (the title already reveals all the noir humor of good Steve). "There Are Many Sides To The Night", being totally acoustic, presents itself as the exact antithesis of 'disc 1'. Although I generally don't appreciate live acoustic recordings that much (for Hackett, I prefer the various "Live Archives" and "The Tokyo Tapes"), I must admit that this one is really moving. --- For reviewer and reviewed, the pair of 5 springs up immediately!

Well done, Shoot... you've pulled a beautiful album out of the hat, easily worth 4 stars. Great "Endless," also very enjoyable are "Angel Don't Cry" (which, unfortunately, ends just when it gets good) and "Stranger In Town"...
Manfred Mann's Earth Band Watch
Voto:
I've already listened to it a few times... overall, it's an excellent album that is enjoyable to listen to. There are many high-quality tracks, among which "Circles" and "California" stand out. This record seems to me to be on the same level (if not even better) than "Roaring Silence." A solid 4 stars.

I should listen to it again because, honestly, I don't remember it very well. So at the moment I'm not giving a rating (although, from my vague memories, it should be around 4 stars). - Anyway, for me, Toto is a great band... made up of musicians with exceptional technical and compositional skills. "IV" and "Isolation" are excellent AOR albums.
Grand Funk Railroad On Time

"T.N.U.C.", "Into The Sun," and "Heartbreaker" one after the other... seems more than enough to reach top marks.

Ah, the Free... an absolutely amazing band, unjustly and inexplicably underrated. The self-titled album is great, with high-quality tracks (as usual...). At the top of the podium, I place "I'll Be Creepin'." The rating for the album fluctuates between 4 and 5 stars... but I gladly round up.

Great review PierPaolo - I only know the most famous album by the Earth Band, "The Roaring Silence" (with the hit "Blinded By The Light"). I really like the style that Manfred proposes... even though, I repeat, I have only listened to one record. If I could find this "Watch," I would be more than happy to give it a listen.
Iron Butterfly Heavy
Voto:
A good record, without a shadow of a doubt... even though I prefer the following "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" for the powerful title track. "Heavy" is slightly more immature, but you can already hear the elements that will characterize their next and well-deserved (although very brief) success. A praise goes to the stunning "Iron Butterfly Theme"... a true psychedelic explosion!
