Mark Knopfler Get Lucky
Voto:
I listened to some tracks on YouTube and took a look on Amazon to check out the various samples... nothing really stands out to me: Knopfler seems to be in a full recycling and self-referential phase since "Shangri-La" ('More of the same', as the English would say). I don't think I'll buy it; at most, I'll get the best tracks.
The Who It's Hard
Voto:
An average album, definitely better than "Face Dances" for me, but still below the (very high) standards of The Who. There are still a decent number of enjoyable tracks... nothing too demanding or essential, but definitely not to be discarded (e.g. "It's Your Turn," "Eminence Front," "I Know No War," and "Cry If You Want"). PS: a final note... the current edition on the market (since the now distant 1995) is a new remix, which deviates from the original '82 in several spots.
Marillion Radiation
Voto:
@Daduzza: out of curiosity, could you explain to me why the nickname TheJargonKing disgusts you... I don’t see anything strange about it. It simply means 'the king of language/jargon'. By the way, it's a wonderful song by Peter Hammill.
King Crimson The Night Watch
Voto:
Everything is excellent... reviewer, review, and reviewed: 5+5 stars. The concert recorded on this double CD is a fundamental historical document, showcasing King Crimson in a state of absolute grace: essential... to have alongside "The Collectable King Crimson Vol.1" (Live in Mainz '74 & Live in Asbury Park '74).
Marillion Radiation
Voto:
Perhaps the worst album in the vast discography of Marillion... at the moment I'm not voting because it's been a while since I've listened to it, so I might be missing something (however, I do remember the 'flatness' of the work, and that takes away my desire to give it another spin). Surely, in my opinion, it's an album that fails to reach a passing grade.
Steve Hackett Genesis Revisited
Voto:
Good review, but I don't share your judgment on Hackett: in my opinion, he is a great musician, fully rounded in songwriting (just listen to his early solo albums, or the last two inspired works "To Watch The Storms" and "Wild Orchids"), as well as possessing a typically English noir humor. - The one you reviewed, in my view, is absolutely not-essential... the music is there (and I believe you, it’s that of Genesis!), the great performers are there, but none of this adds anything to the guitarist's career. There are a good number of must-have Hackett albums, but "Genesis Revisited" is not part of that group. For the album, three stars of appreciation.
George Lucas Star Wars: Episodio I - La Minaccia Fantasma
Voto:
A big letdown... Lucas and friends, with these last three recent films (and especially with this "Episode I"), have ruined the reputation of the great "classic" trilogy (IV, V, VI) of Star Wars... Definitely avoidable.
Deep Purple In The Absence Of Pink
Voto:
"The album is released in 1991 as a double CD." Is it a live album that belongs to the official discography or a bootleg? The fact that you claim the audio quality is poor is a bit of a letdown...
Grand Funk Railroad Live: The 1971 Tour
Voto:
It must be a great bone-crushing concert... I'll give it a listen when I get the chance. Good recommendation!

I wasn't aware that the live version of "The Lamb" was touched up in the studio. It’s always a pleasure to listen to, but in light of these issues you've brought to attention, I somewhat downsize it. Good mention anyway... it's always nice to talk about Genesis.
