Wings Wingspan - Hits And History

Good review... I see then that you wrote all the ones for the Wings, so you must be a big fan of theirs! I wanted to ask you if you focused more on McCartney's life or if there's really little music in this DVD?... I would prefer to buy a good concert rather than a pure documentary. And that's why I'm asking you. - Anyway, in my opinion, Paul is undoubtedly the best of the Beatles!

Very interesting review. I only know "Sweet Home Alabama" by this group (and who doesn't?), but if the rest is on the same level, I will definitely get this live album!

I don’t know exactly… but I love everything that belongs to the '80s! The Commodore 64, Italian comedy, silly movies, the music. When I talk about the '80s, it’s like it was yesterday for me, even though they ended when I was 4 years old!

Oh my God! Don't make me think about Invisible Touch. Really bad (I only save "Domino" and "The Brazilian")... and to think that I discovered Genesis thanks to this album... after that, I immediately went back to the previous period.

I also like "Owner Of A Lonely Heart" for being a pop song. I would fully save the album 90125 (except for "Hearts," which I just can't stand). However, when we start talking about Big Generator, Union, Talk (to some extent), and Open Your Eyes, we're really not on the same page... and if someone like me, who's a devoted fan of the band, says that...

In my opinion, these were necessary choices, essential for survival... temporarily adapting to trends in order to bring their artistry back to the forefront in better times. On the other hand, it's probably for the best that it went this way... just think, for example, if YES had disbanded in 1980. Sure, we wouldn't have the global hit "Owner Of A Lonely Heart," but there also wouldn't be the excellent "Keys To Ascension" (the studio tracks) and "Magnification," nor their wonderful concerts on DVD ("Symphonic Live" or "Song From Tsongas").

Hey Princess, I see you're specializing in the glam metal/hair metal typical of the '80s. I usually listen to more challenging music, but I don't mind this genre at all (maybe it's the nostalgia factor!)... Since many of the bands you've reviewed I've never heard of, I wanted to ask if you know the Swedish group Loud'n'Nasty: they were formed in '99 but they play pure and simple hair metal... give something a listen (http://www.loudnnasty.com/). Maybe you'll like them and write a review. Cheers!
