Iron Maiden The Final Frontier

Hi Manalishi... it's been a while! How's it going? What's new? - Back to the review topic: excellent and thorough as always. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Maiden, but I can only agree on the quality of their albums up to "Seventh Son...". After that (almost) nothing. I haven't listened to this latest album (apart from "Eldorado": nice, but nothing fundamental)... maybe I'll look for something on YouTube out of curiosity. - Talk to you later, bye!

It must have been a fantastic concert... what a shame not to have been there! I'm really envious of you! - Great review, which perfectly reflects the spirit and atmosphere that must have been present during the performance of the great Hackett. I agree with the expression used above by Meco: "a superior musician"!

Great review! The bootleg you describe seems to be quite rich and substantial... it might be just the thing to listen to as soon as possible!
Jethro Tull Songs From the Wood
Voto:
A great gem this "Songs From The Wood," which brilliantly opens the folk trilogy of Jethro Tull. I really like the title track... the same goes for "Jack-In-The-Green" and the often overlooked "Fire At Midnight." On the other hand, "Ring Out..." and "Cup Of Wonder" tend to become a bit cloying over time. Nevertheless, the overall 'balance' of the album is definitely positive. --- As for the review... once again, nothing against you, but it's even worse than the other one: Jethro Tull who would never have been progressive?!?! (see JargonKing's comment); Hunting and Pibroch Girl?!? (the two tracks are titled "Hunting Girl" and "Pibroch (Cap In Hand)"). This is just not acceptable! Sorry...
Yes The Yes Album

Simply stunning album... one of my favorites from this legendary band: for me, a top score is a must here. I won't mention any specific track because, quite frankly, they are all impeccable and of the highest artistic value. - As for the review... you'll have to forgive me, but it's decidedly mediocre (and adds nothing to the pre-existing one in the database).

Hey Pibroch, I just noticed your latest review. Great writing... really comprehensive. - I echo Green Manalishi's comment: it's all quite outside my musical tastes as well. Perhaps Battiato... but lately he has been disappointing me quite a bit. I might be interested in Alice's early works, his protégé (but even here I'd put a big question mark).
Black Sabbath Born Again

I join the long line of those who have given high praise! What a fantastic album this "Born Again" is, really well done (too bad about the rather disappointing mixing... however, I don't question the quality of the album itself at all). Underrated and deserving of rediscovery: the title track, "Trashed," and "Zero The Hero," in my opinion, could easily fit on a potential 'Best Of' of the Sabbath.

Of this album, I only know the title track, which I listened to on YouTube some time ago (it's the same link you put in the review!)... absolutely not bad: I need to dig deeper. Great recommendation.
