Somewhere I had downloaded a bootleg of the '76 tour, with audio that is almost as exceptional as "Seconds Out," ripped from an old laserdisc: my score (maximum!) goes to that concert, which was truly spectacular both in the setlist and in the performance. Unfortunately, it's lost among the backup CDs from 6/7 years ago... and the desire to search for it is lacking!

@ProgKnight: I can’t help but completely agree with you both on the discourse of perfection and on the experience of attending such an event. However, this somewhat clashes with Fripp's philosophy of continuous improvement... In any case, unfortunately, I just can't digest everything that is deliberately or not lo-fi! --- I'm glad that you and probably March Horses as well, since he appreciated my comment, have a positive opinion of Live in Detroit: for me, I repeat, one of the best in the KCCC collection.

@ARIES: indeed, your reasoning makes perfect sense, ahahah!

In my opinion, this album isn't bad... however, it turns out to be quite soporific. The sound is fairly pleasant: there are no dips, but there aren't any peaks worth noting either. It's the classic 'road trip' CD --- I want to clarify that I have nothing against Hogarth and/or the evolution of the band's sound post-Fish... however, the numerous albums released since their leader's departure, aside from a few quality exceptions ("Seasons End", "Brave" and partly "Marbles"), only achieve decent results at best, but nothing more. It's a shame, because the potential is there.

Peoria and, above all, the title track are truly remarkable improvisations. The version of "21st Century Schizoid Man" is excellent. It’s really a shame about the abysmally low audio quality (something I simply can't tolerate, especially considering that this is an official release and not a bootleg) and for the truncated version of "A Sailor's Tale" --- Much better in terms of audio quality and setlist is "Live in Detroit" from '71 (King Crimson Collectors' Club vol. 18).

A "Blizzard Of Ozz" gets 3 stars and this 'thing' gets 4? A crystal-clear example of a fake, and not even that funny. --- Moving on to the album: a truly mediocre product... lacking ideas and impact, and in my opinion, one of the worst works of the Madman. Usually, when all the songs are written by the producer instead of the Artist (and/or the Artist's musicians), the result is a disaster: unfortunately, this record is no exception. The two singles ("Let Me Hear You Scream" and "Let It Die") save it from a minimum rating, as they are not bad.

I agree with the opinion expressed by many before me: the first ten seasons are total masterpieces, absolutely essential (and my vote goes to these episodes!). Then a couple of less abrasive seasons but still good entertainment, and finally, unfortunately, from the thirteenth series onward, there’s a vertical collapse. The last ones, since they changed the design completely to 'digital', are also visually unappealing.

Great album, no doubt about it. Ozzy's first three are my favorites. --- In the meantime, I want to point out that this year a new remastered version was released that restores the original bass and drum parts... that mess of the partial re-recording from 2002 is finally retiring! The same goes for the subsequent "Diary Of A Madman." "Bark At The Moon," on the other hand, is still currently in the remixed version.
