Sickboy, as I’ve already said several times on this page, my rating was 3. If the idiot in question can’t make mistakes, that’s fine, but if the idiot who calls me an idiot doesn’t read all the comments and only stops at the end, then that’s another story. Due to my mistake, I gave this record a 5, but my real rating was 3.

Dear Cooloras, I can understand your disappointment in finding another review about Slipknot. Now let me explain why I wanted to share my thoughts: do you think the other review expressed the absolute truth about Slipknot? I believe that in the review I wrote, I was objective and provided an effective overview of the product. I don’t like the idea of passing off garbage as a masterpiece. That’s why I wrote this review.

Momo, I’ve been playing the guitar for a while too, and I know what I’m talking about... trust me, I wasn't saying this to someone who understands guitars and perhaps even more than I do (like you might be), but to many others. Anyway...

Gilmour is not a great technician... but he did bends of a tone and a half and sometimes two tones perfectly and absolutely effortlessly!!!!
Then in blues, there aren’t great technicalities... sure, it's a relatively simple technique compared to sweeps or picking or other things... but it also requires a certain mastery, trust me.

Don't overthink it. Bending is not simple at all. As a guitarist (which I believe you are), I can tell you that a ton of factors come into play during a bend: it needs to be done precisely, or if you really don't want to do it precisely, you need to be careful to hold it and make the string vibrate. You also often need to mute the underlying strings to prevent them from ringing out freely, and you should mute the upper strings as well because sometimes with the pull you end up catching the upper strings... just look at Vai, who always uses his middle or index finger as a "string-muter" to silence everything and let only the string being bent sound and vibrate. Cooley, on the other hand, doesn't do this because when he "bends," he lets everything resonate, and the sound gets quite muddy. Many guitarists, like Petrucci, do bends with a related "rake," which is a bit more complicated to explain. In any case, whether precise or not, there are many things involved in bending, and you have to be very careful, especially for bends done in sequences of fast pieces. Blackmore and Malmsteen have become classics in bending... but especially Gilmour or Albert and BB King.

The Good Old Charlie is a great project and deserves a lot of appreciation, not so much for Benson but for the "historical" importance it holds in the Italian music scene. Very few will know it, but it is perhaps one of the very first progressive rock projects and bands in Italy, if I'm not mistaken, arising even before dear PFM. I'll remember it and go listen to it again so that I can review it better. Thank you, Dante.

The craziest one is definitely Angelo... that man has nothing serious about him at all... he looks like a fisherman from Taranto... Rusty at least is serious... annoying as a musician... but serious... why do I need to see someone play with four guitars? I just need to see a guitarist who can play one decently... you see, Angelo doesn't play extremely difficult pieces: it's just speed, trust me... his scale sequences are quite elementary and the sweeps are only in major or minor positions... nothing compared to Mr. Gambale.

Rusty Cooley uses an Ibanez 8-string at most, and a Conklin 8-string with slanted frets. The maximum number of strings on an electric guitar is 9 and at most 12 for resonance. Have you ever heard a 10-string? Anyway, Rusty can run as much as he wants, but he'll never get anywhere like that...

Ah.. so excuse me then.. anyway, I reiterate.. I know the super virtuous ones you mentioned... they are equal and superior to him in terms of composition and taste.. perhaps in my opinion Rusty only has the stratospheric speed, a little more than them.. that's all.. it remains always my opinion and I reiterate: PERHAPS..
