Steve Vai certainly uses legato, even if Holdsworth is much more skilled than him... in fact, for me, Greg Howe is superior to him in legato... Satriani is someone who can do everything but not in a specific way: Petrucci's core technique is alternate picking... Gambale uses sweep.

Ok..you don't know...you can stay anyway because unfortunately I don’t have any control..and unfortunately I still have to hear your ignorant statements. For me, Beethoven was more of a clown because to hear the notes, since he was deaf, he smashed the piano!!!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, someone who listens to classical music and also to Jazz-rock-fusion guitarists?????? I can’t believe it...you’re a legend...and tell me...in which technique is Holdsworth great? and Petrucci? and Gambale? If you tell me, I’ll say that the DT suck...

The great guitarists of recent years: Steve Vai (already from the mid-80s with Zappa), Satriani, Gambale, Holdsworth, DiMeola (fantastic), Petrucci, Gilbert, Kotzen, Howe, .... If you've ever heard just one of these guitarists, I'll gladly let you speak.

From what I understand, dear anonymous, you don't understand anything about classical music... my dear... I see that many of you have something against progsters or metalheads... what have they done to you? No one has shit on the music that Easy Cure or others listen to or you... what the hell do you want then? You don't like how Petrucci plays, as a guitarist, etc... just go away!

But go screw yourself... I'm telling you literally because you're just here to crap on Petrucci, who, whether you like it or not, is one of the most influential guitarists of recent years.
