I completely agree with Liz; I'm really on the same page as him. He has perfectly captured the personality of Evanescence: a somewhat successful mix of several elements that makes their sound more accessible, and being accessible, therefore commercial (in the sense that it sells because it pleases...).

Now, excuse me, but you're speaking a little bit like an ignorant person about the GUITAR.

I know Dire Straits, I have all their albums. Mark Knopfler isn't one of my favorites, but he has a truly unique and very personal style. Anyway... he was also a technical guitarist for his time, what do you say? Technique for its own sake? Don't say things like that because they're not true...!!!!!!.. You should listen to acoustic guitarists like Michael Hedges, Preston Reed, Adrian Legg. And soon, I'll be reviewing my protégé, Erik Mongrain!!!!!!! (As you can see, I have very broad musical tastes, it’s not just prog...!!!!)

But why? Is Nu-metal just Bizkit and Linkin for you? We're talking about nu-metal with SOAD, Evanescence, and other bands too... (even if Toxicity is a GREAT album... unlike <Fallen....)

Just vote for the record!!! We got it that you like it and that you're always giving it a 5 just for the sake of raising the average...!!!!!!

So... epic influence? But do you know what epic metal is???? Like that of Manowar or Kamelot? And what do they have to do with Evanescence? The nu-metal element is everywhere: rhythmic riffs, a complete and I mean COMPLETE absence of solo lines or the contrapuntal use of instruments (where the same instruments create the melody....)

Adriano, you took them yesterday, and today I’ll take them with your advice!!!!!!! Listening to new genres is always a pleasure for me... anyway... it’s enough to say that every genre you don’t like is self-contained... it’s a cliché, and I’m tired of it!
