You've stirred conflicting feelings in me. You have a great talent for storytelling, and this review wasn't necessary to realize that. You possess a beautiful sensitivity, as magnificently highlighted by @[CosmicJocker], which clearly shines through in your writing. I appreciate your self-irony, that detachment, the unwillingness to pretend to be anything else. What I didn't like was that somewhat populist reference to burning the parliament and a few too many errors in the text. Overall, great review 👏 but I didn't understand anything about the album ☹️

I also had a yellow Walkman like @[Cialtronius] above (which I still have with me), but it was a Philips. With a three-band equalizer. Wonderful. I remember that while coming back from university in Bari, I would put it on my ears while driving my red Panda Young.. 🙄. What a crazy guy. It was something from after '86. A gift from my girlfriend, now my wife. Other times. Such nostalgia.

Regarding your historical review, I believe I have the book on Kindle; I've tried to start reading it a couple of times, but perhaps due to my hazy and scratched retinas... Peter Hammill A Black Box

A somewhat self-satisfied record from an interpretative standpoint (like many things by Hammill aside from Fool’s Mate and the first two VDGG albums) and above all incredibly dark, absolutely not to be listened to in the shower. To listen to Hammill’s works like this, one needs to be in the right mood. If you are, you realize the absolute value of what you are listening to, but it’s not easy.
