Mimmo Cavallo is (was) great. The thing is, I loved, as a kid, Siamo meridionali, and I still love it today. But it's fine when we're being teased, okay, but when we start to take it seriously as neo-Bourbonists... NO, that's just not right. And I clearly say this as someone from the South.

I listened to this It’s striking, fun music, well played, really enjoyable. I couldn’t catch the words well, aside from “British empire” and Jews, I assume neither is spoken of positively; if for the latter it had remained at the level of mockery, everything would have been different. Truly impressive, it reminds me of the words of Battiato’s “Serial killer,” “I am a man like you”...

The Nazis believed they had God on their side; this is the only explanation for their madness. After all, it happens to everyone who is convinced they have God on their side and that they are the only ones.... Beautiful writing as always. Just a general consideration. Have you read Deutsche Requiem by Borges (yes, I know, I always talk about Borges; it seems like I've only read him all my life, and in a way, that's true..)? Within that work, there's a discussion of the defeated Nazi Germany with a very "original" sense of pity. Borges can afford this. I recommend it. Personally, he and others (De André with his “vittime di questo mondo”, certain readings of a completely different kind) have ruined me; an “evangelical” perspective, a “sense of pity” towards everything and everyone now belongs to me as well.. What a terrible thing 🙂
