I had read elsewhere that they reminded of Flaming Lips, Sparklehorse, and Grandaddy (as well as Radiohead's The Bends). In my opinion, to avoid further disappointments beyond my own, I advise all fans of the aforementioned bands not to get the album just for those supposed similarities. In my view, none of it is true. At most, they might remind you of Turin Brakes and Coldplay...

I find (I just listened to 7 tracks from his latest album, the first one I’m listening to from Bugo): Battisti (for the music and the singing, in certain parts), Gaber (for the lyrics, see GGgel versun Lo Shampo by Gaber) and Rino Gaetano (for lyrics and music). Honestly, I find very little of Beck.

I think I know enough about Lambchop. At the end of the day, I believe that the one I consider the best is Nixon, the most evocative and "moving," even though Is A Woman has some moments of pure and objective beauty. I also know the penultimate one (I can't judge it) and How I Quit Smoking, which is absolutely, in my opinion, pointless.
