To help you understand what I mean by Fantasy and Perfection, let me give you an example. Through his fantasy, Syd Barrett (not so much Pink Floyd) managed to capture the last echoes of God's perfect creative act in the universe, invisible to ordinary people, and make them evident to all. This is an act of fantasy, inherited from God (Syd didn't actually invent anything). However, Syd Barrett, as a human being, was never perfect; man and his fantasy are never perfect. Clear?

X Dave: I mean to say that perfection is something that cannot be defined or measured (there are no criteria accepted by everyone). An act of imagination, on the other hand, can be recognized by everyone, if they want to.

The only thing we humans have to resemble God a bit (the greatest "artist" as the creator of the universe) is imagination, and that is what we must strive for.

Dave, perfection is an absolute concept. And, I'm afraid, it doesn't belong in our world..

As I was writing, you had moved quite far ahead...

Dave, apart from the fact that I don't see much of Pink Floyd in Radiohead, if you think that way you should snob all the Pink Floyd albums post-Barrett because, as you well know, these albums not only contain reminiscences of the early ones (especially The Piper) but even reuse the same musical ideas, WITH A MODERN SOUND, from the great Syd (RIP). As I've said elsewhere, no one is completely the author of what they do; the music of Pink Floyd didn't start with Pink Floyd.

Yes, but the review is very nice and well-written, honestly. So, why don’t you like them? For example, I don't like them because it's too physically painful to listen to them; Tom Yorke, in my opinion, cries a bit too much. I prefer to approach certain themes (nothingness, death, the immeasurable indefiniteness we are immersed in, etc., etc.) with a bit of lightness and healthy melancholy, and perhaps with a touch of irreverent flair, but not despair. At this point, I repeat the question. Why don’t you like them? What do Pink Floyd have to do with it?

Dave, why do you do it?

Beautiful, again. As for the album, I find it more "enjoyable," so I’m getting to a 5, compared to the previous one. It’s still understood that Radiohead are definitely not among my favorite bands (but I do listen to them a lot). PS Not to be monotonous, has anyone ever heard the cover of Knives Out by the Flaming Lips?
