NanowaR 5 Questions To NanowaR
Voto:
mp, how dare you write such things? And then they put it on the left column?? And also, what is this irony towards metal? I love acoustic metal...
PS. To be serious, I respect everyone. However, those who are inspired in their personal musings about the meaning of life by listening to this kind of music seem to me like someone who is inspired in their thinking about the meaning of love by watching a soap opera. Just my personal opinion, of course.

Damn it, I forgot the score...

The review seems very good to me, although in a few words the type of music is not to my liking at all. And when it comes to screaming, I prefer singing. Otherwise, silence is better.
Lloyd Cole Antidepressant
Voto:
The review is very well written, even though, wanting to be objective, and not being able to, in this particular case, to assess the actual value, not having the album in my possession, and if it's possible to do it in a few lines, the validity of the reviewed work, including music, lyrics, etc., etc., etc., I refrain from expressing a rating; however, damn, it must be really beautiful if someone speaks of it with so much passion... PS Happy 2007

James Holden The Idiots Are Winning
Voto:
Ghem, I noticed it. Indeed, the first part really reflects my tastes, and the combination of your undeniable musical expertise and that touch of imagination in writing that I like so much fits perfectly. Hello and best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone.

The beginning doesn't bother me; in fact, I like it a lot. But then comes: "Madonna, behind these pieces lies a mind that can only be described as genius," 1) What's the point of mentioning Madonna? 2) What does "to describe as genius is an understatement" mean? Euphemism is meant to soften a negative concept, and it doesn't seem to me that the concept you want to soften (being an album full of ideas and creativity) is negative. PS I am neither from the Catholic Action nor am I an Italian teacher.
Mercury Rev Yerself Is Steam
Voto:
I have always thought it was unfair for the Flaming Lips to be considered "the ones who look like Mercury Rev," but in this (very challenging) album, as rarely happens, they are truly great and have no fear of comparison with the original group (Donahue and Dave Fridmann started their careers in the FL).
Bob Dylan Desire

Joey is the most beautiful piece of the album for me.
