Infected, one last thing. A question I’m asking you, but that I’m really asking myself. How the hell can we simultaneously enjoy King Crimson (and progressive music in general with its regulated and "academic" sound) and this kind of music (I mean that anarchic/disorderly and noisy stuff that bands from Elephant 6 make or, I don't know, just to name one, the early Flaming Lips)?

What a beautiful cover, what a "splendid" and "challenging review." I know about them from In An Aeroplane over the Sea, very nice, starting with the title. PS. Of course, every now and then, the satisfaction... But I understand that the world moves fast and the Editors never have enough time to read all the material they receive carefully… PS2. Just posted, what do you think of Dusk at The Cubist Castle by Olivia Tremor Control (I can't quite decide if it's a great album or not, heavily influenced by the very low audio quality of the work that ruins the charm of the compositions and their great psychedelic value)?

For me, certain songs by Manuel Agnelli (Musa di Nessuno is one example) are like little Alephs. When I listen to them, I find myself "traveling" through spacetime, in the music and the sound of my memory. Maybe it's because we're the same age, or because when we were young, his dad also played a lot of Mina for him, or perhaps we share many common obsessions about the passage of time (Ritorno a Casa is for me one of the more minor pieces by Afterhours, and just think that Agnelli wrote it when he was still a minor).

In my opinion, as many say, this album is a summation of everything they have done so far. Besides Germi, Hai paura del Buio, Quello Che Non c'è, and of course, Ballate per Piccole Iene, there's also quite a bit of Non è per Sempre (the most pop and the most underrated album by After). In particular, there’s a track (I don't remember the title) with the synthetic rhythmic base already used in Milano Cinconvallazione Esterna. And also Musa di Nessuno (beautiful) is, in my opinion, in the style of Estate, Oceano di Gomma from the same album. PS. There’s also a track that starts (just the beginning, and only limited to the arrangement) like Shine On Sweet Jesus by FL. Has anyone noticed that?

contagious mantra, OK, thank you very much for the thorough advice and for having "tailored" it to my tastes. Until next time.

Very good mantric pest. I've heard this group praised from various sources, but it has always frightened me a bit for some reason (too "noisy"?). But here your parallel references to KC and that dream-pop track with such an alluring title are convincing me to get to know them better, starting with the less extreme stuff. What do you recommend?

In some parts, it can also be a bit naive. But since I love this kind of reviews and I don't understand the hostility with which it has been received, I'm giving you a 5 as encouragement. Great job, keep it up.
