Listen, Dr. Azz, do I have to renounce the Bulletin as well? Can't we do without it? I swear I'm even willing to renounce Yoshimi (even though, as the people of Deb have been informed, that's the name I gave my daughter). Please let me know.

@Alessio. 1) Because the character of the Young Holden not only reminds me of you (from what little I know you via DEb) but also in your review of Pasolini I found an almost quote (which I liked a lot) from the Young Holden. You referred to Carfagna as "once a showgirl and now ONLY a minister." In Salinger's book (which I also read quite some time ago), Holden makes a very similar observation about his brother (in his case he said he used to be ONLY an excellent writer, or something like that). 2) For me, Cèline is perhaps the greatest I've read so far. In his books, you can truly find everything. Reading his works is a "life experience," it feels like "you've been there." Only by reading stuff like Celine do you realize those who write just to write (their books are, as the French say, good only for catching flies) and those who write because they genuinely have something to say (very few) to humanity.

Wow, tell me, are Mariaelena and I going to be admitted to the same facility? No, you know, just to understand and maybe see if we can organize a meeting at most (in a good way, of course, I have a wife and a daughter, the latter being veeeery jealous). PS I'm starting to like you more and more...

Alessio, a question I've wanted to ask you for a while: Have you read "The Catcher in the Rye" by Salinger and "Death on Credit" by Céline (I think you have)?
