I understand what it means. While with the necessary distinctions I've felt something very similar (the great disappointment after the long wait) when the last ones by Sparklehorse came out (which I then somewhat rehabilitated after several listens) and Mercury Rev. "cerebral meteorism" is beautiful, you are great.

I can see that you put a lot of passion into it (and that's always a good thing), so I give you a high score, but I have to criticize the album, which I find, based on your description, extremely "tacky" (poor Marcia Funebre by Chopin, what a shame). And then... talking about an important theme like death doesn’t necessarily make a band significant. And if it's talked about "badly," the only desire it evokes is just a nice bit of p....

Alessio, if you haven't already, read something by Mutis as well, the one from Smisurata Preghiera by De André. It's different from Celine but also very similar. As Borges would say, Celine, Pasolini, Mutis are just slightly different names for "one single human being." Finally, regarding the fact that Celine despised everything, I want to quote this little excerpt from Viaggio: "He fell asleep abruptly, in the light of the candle. I ended up getting up to see his features in the light. He was sleeping like everyone else. He had the most ordinary look. But wouldn’t it be nice if there were something to distinguish the good from the bad." In short, he was angry at humanity, but he had these bursts filled with a wonderful melancholic tenderness, showing that everything stemmed from a great unrequited love (IMMO).
