With this album, I discover Mercury Rev. I understand well how one can cling to memories and massacre what is called memory in the years to come. I take the risk; tomorrow I leave in sweet company, and these Songs are at the top of the CD pile. Great psycho.

Maybe I'm just going to roast myself in the sun too, but this one has pleased me even more than the usual odra-standards. I loved the essential, succinct biographical notes at the beginning, as well as the italicized note about the other album with all those names, my goodness. And what's in between. I share the Socratic skepticism, but I trust the pentastella odradesquo, which I will honor upon my return from these brief and tiring holidays. In this regard, a heartfelt de-ciao-e-a-presto to everyone.

I wasn't in Sorrento, but I imagine these places are all the same. Here, there were wooden planks on stilts, two long rows of tables and umbrellas, and in between, the stroll. Unexplainably loud music, bright lights too. The dominant color was pink on sun-kissed skin for him (I’d swear a lot of it was due to the lamps), and pleated white for her. Smiles were abundant, the kind where the corners of the mouth meet behind the neck. The sad part was that the place was damned beautiful, but no one seemed to consider it.
