Duke Ellington, Charlie Mingus, Max Roach Money Jungle
Voto:
I believe that this a-historical dimension of this record is at the root of its relatively modest fame. I’m starting to develop a certain aversion to "epochal" works, even though one of my upcoming reviews in the pipeline is that of "Free Jazz," ah, human contradiction.

As for the divertissement, I meant that the album doesn't adhere to any particular genre; it seems detached from any movement. Free jazz was on the horizon, as well as the modal revolution taking place at the time. "Money Jungle" feels like a session among three friends playing damned well, without any programmatic intentions, or at least that’s my personal impression. True, the album certainly has meaning, good gracious. Thanks to todos, of course.

I read it at a snail's pace, wishing to fall asleep at every bend to wake up in a better place.
Helmet Monochrome

Dear Killgod, the Filters are thoroughly and irreparably cooked, as we all know well. They only made Short Bus, in my humble opinion.

I share your vision of the Helmet universe. Immense Strap it on (the riff from "Distracted" remains my all-time favorite noise-hardcore thing), immense also Meantime I would add, mediocre and bland the episodes you call mediocre and bland. I was not even aware of this one's existence, but I had no doubts about the outcome. As for the rest, stuff like Helmet and Unsane et similia should only be reviewed by you. Antziquènot.

I forgive everyone, I won’t do it again, really nice page.

Once upon a time, beautiful reviews were never sullied; today they are. The nicknames, the fakes, the neuroses and the paranoia, the scribblers. Not to mention the usual Bisius who feel compelled to comment on everything, always and anyway. Can you tell me how you managed to read with utmost pleasure the page of a writer you hate? Can you tell me how you gave 5 to this album? Did you compare this performance with others, finding it more evocative?
Prong Rude Awakening
Voto:
You're right, this album really did lack a review; I had thought about it several times too. Too many references to metal, which has nothing to do with Prong, in short, it's just not right. However, the emphasis on "Innocence Gone" is spot on, one of the tracks that makes up my personal soundtrack.

Stonerrock Doom?!? Bah, all I know is that every now and then a good drink of mediocre but cheap beer doesn't hurt; in fact, you've made me crave it. Well done, Antmo, as always.

Indeed, mine was a positive comment; I mean that if something is well-written, it is always good.
