Tim Buckley Look At The Fool
Voto:
True, he had been in rehab for about a couple of years; let's say he had replaced drug addiction with a more "soft" kind of depression. In the link I'm sharing, there's, among other things, a chilling Coroner's report. But why does Poletti include quotes from delrock.it?
Leonard Cohen Songs From a Room

The poetry isn't bad, hindered by the overly kissed rhyme. But is it yours or is it an adaptation of Cohen?
Hasil Adkins Out To Hunch
Voto:
I don't remember if Eric Dolphy recorded "Out to Lunch" before or after this one; I would be curious to understand if anyone drew inspiration from it. A beautiful, beautiful page on a universe unknown to me.

Yes paperoga, the title track is the only thing that saves it from disaster, but we're really not there anymore. And it's precisely the concept of an album where only a couple of tracks are worth saving that makes it all so sad, genuinely sad. I thank everyone, even for the quality of the comments. The smile of Tim Buckley, an evidently failed attempt at smiling, suffering and enigmatic, just like his art.
The For Carnation Marshmallows

Yeah, rhetorical question. Maybe the title should be stuffed with keywords, like sex, Iron Maiden, Paris Hilton.
Stefano Bollani Jazz Italiano Live 2006

Jazz is back on Debaser, as always coming in through the front door. I share everything you've said about Bollani, he's fantastic.

You really need to get it, Puny, and you need to do it quickly... But why do only three people attend the second review of For Carnation while thousands flock to the 128th review of Iron Maiden?
The Velvet Underground The Velvet Underground & Nico
Voto:
I read a bit of this very long controversy, and I feel like quoting the words of pretazzo a million posts ago... Beyond the enormous amount of debatable things, for this review, I give it a thumbs up. Radical and provocative, never silly. As for the album, well, what is there to say?

I put it on. Perfect.

Great record. Salo is my favorite. Every time I listen to this stuff and similar, I think that McMahan and David Pajo truly created something big. Pajo, if I remember correctly, isn't on this record, but the soul is definitely there. Anyway, Marshmallows fits well with this gloomy Sunday afternoon; I might just put it on.
