I couldn't add anything essential to the debate; rather, having mentioned La Conversazione by Ford Coppola, the fabulous opening sequence of that film comes to mind. I don’t have a definite opinion on the appropriateness of opening Debaser to cinema; it seems to me both a great idea and a potential loss of identity. However, it might be worth a try.

A review evidently written by a man in love, good luck to the girl. I don't know this album by the Giant, but I will definitely get it. Among the thousand interpretations of "Estate," I would mention Rava's, which I've seen live a couple of times, and Capossela's magnificent, whispered version.

True about the red thing, I need to try and test my Unsane friends. What seems to distinguish Unsane to me is the complete absence of the "aesthetic" component of sound. I mean, Sonic Youth had their own way of searching for a certain "appeal" in sound, and the same goes for Unwound; we won't even get started on G vs B. The sound of Unsane, on the other hand, is essential and substantial. I’ve always gotten the impression of music that is absolutely "serious," and that’s what I really like. Pretazzo, the limoncello is already chilling.
