Tortoise A Lazarus Taxon [3CD+DVD]

Post-rock is a unique expression that ultimately ends up gathering too many different concepts, so it’s only natural that Tortoise reject it as a label. However, it’s undeniable that they are among the bands that have most contributed to defining that kind of atmosphere known as post-rock. Just like their peers Slint, whom I will have in front of me tomorrow night in Rome...

Since there are no embarrassing blunders like "It's all around you," it must be a mouth-watering product, as deduced from this highly commendable summary. How economical is it?

I wholeheartedly support the campaign to prevent music reviews from slipping away so quickly, and in general for all systems that allow pages like Hal's to stay on the homepage for an extended period. Writing a review like this is no joke, I hope you understand what I mean.

Yes, you made me laugh too much there in the front row. I completely got lost in that mantra towards the end of the concert, what characters, what an evening.

Great Heron, unfortunately I don't remember you but I already adore you too for what you say you've achieved... yes, great concert, beyond expectations. I was up there, but I envied you in the front row so much, what a story, but were you on the Peron side? Anyway, at the next worthy live show in the area we have to meet, I don't want to know anything...
David Fincher Zodiac
Voto:
easy is all right, unfortunately what ruins the film is the narrative prolixity, and I refer specifically to the second half. I mean, the film is anything but "lean," full of essentially unnecessary material, which makes it, in my opinion, a rather unsuccessful product. As for the rest, Fincher has the talent, and he doesn’t fail to showcase it. The scenes in cars are particularly beautiful, and many shots of a decidedly photogenic city.

I found it unbearable. The film is very well made and the subject matter is moderately interesting, but the narrative development is often unforgivably redundant, making the long runtime feel excessive, given how things unfold. All the points made in the review could potentially be true, but the real victim of Zodiac is the viewer's attention. Rating: 2.5
