The linguistic references and the texts are beautiful; in these cases, the length of the review becomes an asset.

Absolutely agreed, both the choice and the review are great. The drummer of Grails is named Emil Amos (aka Holy Sons), and he has made some quite remarkable solo albums where he plays just about anything. Highly recommended.

So if I calculate correctly an average of 4 seconds per shot? I'm about to watch Russian Ark by Sokurov, a unique 90-minute long take shot in the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg... if I can handle it, I'll write a review.

Maybe if they wrote more reviews like this, it would be beautiful to see a page on the choirs of the Alpine soldiers right next to a page on Sonic Youth! Nice, and written with the necessary passion, a bit rhetorical for my tastes, but I can't help but give it a thumbs up.
