Well, thanks for the advice! Maybe I can find one of those books in my boss's study library, the Most Illustrious Prof. Gulotta!

Certainly, the reference to Lombroso was a bit bold, but it aimed to highlight the more controversial branches that stem from conceptions viewing human behavior as solely the result of "sensory and emotional movements" that are essentially unmanageable, where the "brain" or "will" act only to justify and "give meaning" to actions. Personally, I align with your opinions, but I do not believe in undermining the will by entirely denying it the possibility of influencing emotional and psychological mechanisms. Do I make myself clear?

Beautiful discussions on this page... René Martin's post also reminds me a bit of Lombroso's discussions about the criminal man by birth and not by choice, which then gave rise to legal aberrations of a much lower caliber. But beyond the psychological and social structures of which we are all victims from birth and that somehow mark our destiny, there is always space for will, in my opinion. If it was inevitable for Jaco to end up as he did, I don't know... perhaps his will, instead of being absent or powerless in the face of his condition, was simply not directed towards artistic and physical survival...

Yes omega, it is true that the more you know how to do, the more you can do, but it is equally dramatically true that if you don't know what to do, you will always be behind someone who can do little but knows what to do! Ehhhhm, did I make myself clear? @Rcoknroll, I agree with you, although it should be noted that often certain so-called artists attempt to mask their lack of talent with pretentious attacks on established structures, as if that could somehow grant them a kind of artist's license. This is certainly not the case with Pollock, who painted out of genuine expressive urgency.

Well, damn, I more or less understand what you’re saying, but the truth is that at the end of the day, it all comes down to inspiration and musical talent, which, depending on the artistic inclination, is expressed in different ways... It’s the same in all the arts, it’s not that Pollock is worth less than Dalì just because he’s less technical in terms of painting; everyone expresses their spirit with the instrument that suits them best. The only thing that matters is that, the spirit, or the cosmos, to put it in the words of the Knights of the Zodiac.

Fantastic the parallel between Frances and Francis, the "star" (as he defined himself in a comment) of Debaser...
