Wait, maybe the Mastodon that I half-listened to didn’t suck... I don’t know, I should check...

Maybe you meant to say that the Maiden are also SCENOGRAPHY, not SCREENPLAY, nice review anyway. I miss the times when I was also up to date and knew all the bands playing at the festivals... today I read this review and wonder: who the hell are Mastodon? And Stone Sour? I’ve probably seen/heard at most two of their songs, but if I’m not mistaken, they seem useless to me... maybe it’s just me getting older. Instead, Morby and the DOmine or Time Machine are like parsley, always in every damn event. I’ve always been one of those who throw bottles at them and get annoyed listening to their "so-called" prog.

I know it's a conversation that doesn't really matter, but I'm not sure if today's kids and teenagers will be able to remember a myriad of little great cult classics like those who lived their childhood or adolescence in the '80s. In fact, when I think of the '90s, which were my teenage and early young adult years, I don't have as many memories of icons or "cult" symbols as I do for the '80s. On the contrary, those who experienced their adolescence in the '80s still feel an even greater nostalgia for that imagery. So I really believe that the '80s, despite their political and social contradictions, had a truly phenomenal and incredibly distinctive pop culture, perhaps because in many ways they stand in total discontinuity with both the past and the future, much more so than other decades that tend to "come back" more easily (even though now the '80s are making a comeback as well). And certainly much more than the '90s-2000s, which seem far more homogeneous to me.

I definitely side with the crazy guy. When I was little (and even now) I would almost always fall asleep around 9:30 PM, so I could never watch a damn movie in full; instead, the legendary Howard kept me glued (awake) to the chair until the end, which perhaps means it was a good movie for kids. Ogre might not be wrong when he says that children know how to judge things for children quite well. Look at video games; the ones from Coleco, Master System, and Megadrive that I played the most are the ones that, even in hindsight, are judged "objectively" as the best (I think of Thunderforce 4, Gunstar Heroes, Zaxxon, Sonic, Fantasy Zone, Alex Kidd, Cabbage Patch Kids, etc.). The ones that made me feel like crap often actually did suck. I'm really astonished by the comments from Ghemison or Poletti, who get so outraged by this review, calling for technical rigor and objectivity in film judgments. But I mean, do you have any sensitivity regarding the level of the cinematic discourse that's happening? It's fine to be a pain in the ass, but at least try to find the right contexts to be one; are you so one-dimensional even in life?

The review is nice, a bit repetitive at times, I haven't seen the movie but I had sensed the hoax. I found the first one enjoyable, though. Anyway, it’s fine to have a "youthful" review from birbabirba every now and then.

Nice review, I have the album on my PSP but I haven't listened to it yet, I still have to decide whether to go to Gods to see it.

Well, if you meant to give him a passing grade anyway, I’d say your score makes sense.

If I want to go to the movies, and I can't "put on" anything at the cinema, I go to see "Grindhouse":-)

I saw it just the other evening. The review is quite tasty; in fact, I also found the part about the population growth a bit out of place. However, I'm afraid that the story of global warming and the increase in CO2 might not be just 'na bufala...
