very thorough, accurate, and interesting analysis. I know pipes and flowers by elisa (nice but, as you rightly say, at times "simulated") and the various singles. I consider her an extraordinary singer and a disarming natural talent, but her compositions are too "hyper-produced" and well-packaged; there is too little soul shining through...

Nice review, although the film's reading might be overly indulgent in portraying the figure of Travis. In my opinion, the ending is truly a tragedy because it is not a tragedy for Travis. The fact that he is “absolved” for his crimes, while it constitutes a happy ending for the protagonist, is yet another indictment of American society, which first “creates” monsters and then justifies and legitimizes their horrors.

I mean, I get it, before people arrive who baselessly and/or superficially accuse Milan of being Nazi, I'll give him 4.
