Well, in some live recordings it seemed to me that sometimes the bending and vibratos went a bit "butterfly," but I'm talking about impressions from a long time ago. Honestly, I can't remember a Peter Criss track that stood out for its inventiveness; I'll have to re-listen to "Schock Me."

I've never liked Carrey, even in The Truman Show and in dramatic roles. It's as if he feels (in the dramatic roles) that he wants to prove how good and expressive he is, and in the end, the character he plays comes across (at least in my eyes) as unconvincing and excessive. Am I the only one who thinks this way?

Not bad, but definitely not better than Angels Cry and Holy Land. Nova Era is really cool, I play it with my band and it's really a blast.

A film that is excessively propagandistic in its political parts. If you want to make truly biting political criticism/satire nowadays, targeting Berlusconi doesn’t seem like the most functional choice for the purpose. Mocking Berlusconi has now become - in certain circles and especially for the target audience of this film - a national sport, a topos of elevator conversations; therefore, Moretti's criticism came across to me as a rather self-serving stylistic exercise and (nonetheless) sycophantic. As for the long (and sophisticated) issue raised by the poet in one of the early posts, what can I say? It’s evident, for strictly quantitative and not necessarily qualitative reasons, that the past offers many films from which the reviewer can draw. Debaser will publish dozens of reviews per week; how many films are released in a week in Italian cinemas? How many are worthy of a review effort offered gratuitously? If you want to analyze it from a psycho-sociological perspective, I can tell you that the average "debaseriota" doesn’t review to encourage anyone to go to the cinema, but to express and share their point of view on a film they know and have loved/hated. To feel the urge to write (because pure "intellectual" necessity is what drives the reviewer, since they are not paid) it inevitably takes time, and often several repeated viewings of the film. It is hard to feel the same need for a film just watched at the cinema. Thus, in my opinion, your theses on eulogies and the like have little value.

Nice reception, but where do you hear Peter Criss's powerful and refined drumming, excuse me? Criss is one of the most basic and least powerful drummers in the history of rock; he played in big bands, and he ended up doing rock almost by chance, and you can really tell he struggled to keep up with the tempo of the songs. But in the end, his awkward and hesitant grooves (like Frehley's spaced-out and slightly out-of-tune solos) are part of the soul of the early Kiss, which makes them unrepeatable and unique.

I've heard about them but I've never listened to them, great review. And I would also say well done to Maurizio (Chiarello) at the underground symphony, it's known that he has excellent taste (otherwise why would he have produced them?;).

Honestly, I really like the very "basic" interface of debaser; aside from a few negligible issues, I would say that everything runs quite smoothly.
