Tom Petty Southern Accents
Voto:
...and the Tom Petty-obsessed shoot arrived, pibroch ;)..great album, in this work Tom truly knows how to alternate pieces of great intensity and melancholy with more commercial songs, in a sense collecting the sound of his homeland that the cover couldn't describe better. At that time, things were going really wrong for him: record labels trying to steal his copyright and the drugs taken in unreasonable quantities: he gave that famous punch to the wall, furious because the Heartbreakers played better when high than when not. By the way, the live recording from the Southern Accents tour, titled "Picking Up The Plantations Live," is absolutely amazing: the sheer sense of spectacle that Tom delivers in that live performance is spine-tingling..what times..what a musician...

Thank you for the comments.. yes, to be honest, it’s a hard record to find.. Dear Pibroch, I think Faulner has no clue who Graziani is, don’t you think? :)
Grand Funk Railroad Survival

Unfortunately, Mel Schacher is too often overlooked; he could and should serve as an example for a lot of bassists. For me, he still is.
Grand Funk Railroad Survival

Great album, even if there are others that excite me more: On Time, the legendary debut album, E Pluribus Funk, Closer To Home, We're An American Band; among these names, this is the one that I find the least successful. Still great though.
Janis Joplin Pearl
