Grand Funk Railroad On Time

Mel Schacher is one of the most underrated bassists in history, and in my opinion, he is one of the best.

When debuts are like this, they really make you go crazy: full of ideas, fresh and aggressive. It might be my favorite album by Grand Funk, so hard and powerful, every song is legendary. Not to mention the super old-school sound, try listening to this album in the car, if you’re in the driver’s seat, you get deafened just by the sound of the drums, and Brewer never takes his hands off the cymbals for a second. Ah, what an album!

My absolutely favorite English band! When it comes to Paul Rodgers, I am totally biased. What a choice! I must say, this album is perhaps the one I like a little less from the Free discography, even though there are some tracks that I can't rate below a 4: I'll Be Creepin', Songs Of Yesterday, and Broad Daylight are true masterpieces. I was planning to review Highway, in my opinion the most complete album of the band.

Nice review. Honestly, I've heard a bit of stuff like this, which you recommended by the way, but it doesn't really catch my interest.
