Watched it on Saturday (front row at the cinema :-s): great movie.
Roberto Vecchioni Il Re Non Si Diverte
Voto:
Beautiful review for one of Vecchioni's finest albums, dominated by the long and beautiful title track. But for me, the best parts are the two final gems, the sweet "Ninna nanna" and the extraordinary "Sabato stelle": the chills they give, alone are worth the five.

Uhm... Good review, perhaps a bit too enthusiastic. The album - which I haven't listened to in ages (I'll remedy that) - is indeed very beautiful (I love the vocal intro), but maybe not so influential: as is well stated in the link by Iside, in the end it remains a standalone work.

Never really been my thing; they remind me of the times when I was out for a girl from my hometown and on Saturday nights I would go to a dive that played music that - if I was lucky - was at this level. Good times? Meh, no. But the review is nice.

The movie really appeals to me: I think I'll go see it. The review is excellent, filled with nostalgic memories.

As I told you some time ago, without having listened to it yet, the "original sin" of this work is the title it carries: that - in my personal opinion - of the greatest album of all time. Excellent review; I will listen to it - because I have to listen to it.

Yes, these are the tracks that come out with the listens, and they are really beautiful; for me, though, perhaps the gem is "El pass del gatt": how lovely!

Jumping over these controversies, I respond to AJM (comment 22): you’re not entirely wrong; but towards the end, there are two beautiful pieces, "Ciamel amuur" and, above all, "Il reduce," which is truly spine-chilling. @Il siciliano, thank you. :-)

Okay, Uncle Beast... I was just saying that politics, with Davide, is really off the table. ;-) Korrea, indeed: proof is that he even played at the Unit parties, and wherever his presence was requested, in any region (by the way, he collaborated a lot with artists from the center-south, for example, the Sardinian group Balentes).
