Dream Theater Images And Words

@wesevwn: The fanfare served as the opening theme, and it would stop when they framed Mazzocchi and the statue they had in the studio... Regarding coldness, Zoroaster is spot on (:D), the experience of music is purely subjective; however (and precisely for this reason) I find myself highlighting dEDOLUZ's point of view. Alright, I’ll post the scores and then nothing more to say, take care.

Well... your reasoning doesn't hold up. I can share my personal impressions (and I listen to prog metal because a very passionate friend of mine shares it with me): a piece by Yes has an instrumental blend that can move me in a way that, for example, Dream Theater and Shadow Gallery do not. I can't explain why, but at least for me it's like that; I repeat, I've never had prejudices in music. For instance, a Gilmour or a Martin Barre may not be technical monsters, but their guitars speak. To give you another silly example, I still prefer Portnoy—who works miracles in "Take the Time" (no denying that)—when he guides TransAtlantic, truly blending in with the band. Alright, I can't respond to the question, I'll stop this rambling :D

Well, you're right, oh my! Of course, I've only seen them live once and they certainly can't have bored me; however, I completely understand what you mean, especially since, as I already mentioned, entire masterpieces are ignored in concert, from "Minstrel in the Gallery" (I believe due to the unpleasant memories that period evokes for Ian, not for nothing the muse of Baker Street) to the sacred mystery, to the "minor" albums of the '70s. All true! And then you can't relegate the legendary uncle Martino to a session man, oh no no!

Not bad, indeed, especially if it’s the first time. But does it really add anything else? Welcome, in any case. The DTs don’t drive me crazy.

A fresh one, having not yet read the unpublished review... cortez. The ranking is beautiful, anyway!

The review is well-written. I really don’t know them (him): funny, though: they seem like an evil party from Dungeons & Dragons :D
