Belle And Sebastian Dear Catastrophe Waitress
Voto:
At first, I wasn't convinced by the album; it was too "catchy" for Belle & Sebastian. But over time, I fell in love with several songs, starting with the single "I'm a cuckoo," which in the verse strongly reminds me of "The boys are back in town" by Thin Lizzy. "Step into my office" is actually the weakest track, despite the nod to a certain kitsch typically sixties vibe, but it pales in comparison to gems like the title track, the folk-inflected "Piazza," and the superb "Wrapped in books," which features a Byrds-like arpeggiated riff and a spine-tingling break in the middle that even brings to mind the legendary Roxy Music. It may not be as poetic as the band's early, incomparable works, but folks, damn it, buy it.

And stop whining about this issue of punctuation and spaces. Seriously, you’re getting on my nerves. Who cares if someone gets a headache, that’s their problem: there are reviews that are terrible, this one is well-written and Japan are legends of the '80s, especially with this album that captured that particular historical moment when the "Westernization" of faraway countries like Japan was emerging. It's an album that sounds a bit retro and very romantic today, and despite everything, it reached the masses: way better than the crap music that’s out now.
Prodigy Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned
Voto:
The Prodigy were a memorable shooting star in my musical growth. When I was 17 years old, that is in 1997, I only listened to them, Goldie, and the Chemical Brothers. This review feels like it’s been done just to be ahead of the others: I’ve already completely downloaded the new album, but I will wait until August 28 to review it in order to make the comparison of opinions more accessible. On the first listen, it’s not bad at all; it was needed: too bad the contribution from Maxim and Keith Flint is minimal.

Finally!! In Italy, there has never been much attention for the legendary T.Rex, I personally adore them. Keep it up, the more we are, the better it is!

For Passenger: the graphic style is reminiscent of that of QUOTSA and I think it's a bit caricatured, although the drawing (which is also Tim Wheeler's tattoo) is very beautiful. Anyway, I think I did well to give it three stars: listening to the album again, it's not a total mess, there are certainly much worse things out there. But I repeat that I expected much more from Ash than just 3-4 good tracks among a lot of fillers.
For Easycure: in fact, I don't rave about Dark Side Of The Moon either, but many see it as an epoch-making record, so in any case, the critiques of the time were misguided because that's not really the case for an album that has fallen into obscurity.. of course, the best of Pink Floyd is something else entirely.

It is not considered a true debut album as it was released only in Ireland and subsequently in the UK...I believe.
