Well, I saw on www.sweetmusic.biz that Gillan's Inn costs only 20 ¤; I'm ordering it tonight right away! Can I recommend an album that is definitely worth it? It was released on April 18 (Tuesday) and it's a double live album by Dio, called "Holy Diver Live," which would be the promotional tour for Last In Line; in the first CD there are only his solo songs, in the second CD there are very few solo tracks but instead, many songs he did with Black Sabbath and Rainbow (including Tarot Woman, Sign of the Southern Cross, Heaven and Hell, and many others!). I just ordered it recently and it should arrive in about a week... I can't wait!

I didn't know that Dio sang in the new Gillan album, anyway I was aware of the great friendship between Deep Purple and Dio (in fact, the latter has been doing a lot of work with the Purple; recently about three live albums by the Purple came out featuring R.J. Dio as a special guest)! By the way, what's the name of this Gillan album where Dio sings? My MSN address is: ronnie_james_dio@hotmail.it and yours? I had started to create a space but I got tired and left it halfway!

Ah, one more thing: do you know about the hilarious interview that became famous with a journalist and Blackmore when he was with Deep Purple? So, once a journalist was supposed to interview Blackmore, and he knew about his "temperament." He started with an innocent question: "How's it going with the new vocalist Joe Lynn Turner?" And Blackmore: "How dare you ask me such a question!" and throws a Fender Stratocaster on the ground, just missing the journalist's head (the guitar smashed on the floor!). At that moment, someone from Blackmore's staff arrives and tells the journalist: "In an hour, Blackmore is ready for the interview." After an hour, the journalist asks Blackmore the same question, and he replies: "Great! I'm doing really well with Joe Lynn, especially when he doesn't get drunk like tonight!" and here they laugh. From that moment on, Blackmore was very nice to the journalist, thanking him at the end of the interview and complimenting him (always to the journalist) on his expertise! LONG LIVE RITCHIE BLACKMORE & RONNIE JAMES DIO!!!!!!!

I hadn't read this interview, but I can notice how journalists modify the news to suit their needs; in fact, in another interview I read in Metal Hammer (I think) where R.J. Dio says he often talks to Blackmore since they are great friends - or at least that's what he says - and adds that he is able to accept the "character" that Blackmore is said to have, just look at the interviews of his fiercest enemy (Ian Gillan) and those who collaborated with him, who were friends and then had falling outs and then became friends again (see Roger Glover, Jimmy Bain, and many others!). In short, the interviews don't correspond much, but the fact remains that Dio is my ultimate idol alongside the Man In Black and Rob Halford!
