Soul II Soul Volume IV The Classic Singles 88-93

Thank you for the posts, dear nostalgic fans of the eighties and nineties. To Massimof: it's true that it has lost its initial spark but... it’s been 16 years!! To Fosca: in this fourth volume, you’ll find the longer version of Back to life (the radio edit, I believe); To Socrates: you have my full support ;-) ; To Gabbox: I agree with you but "Club Classic vol. 1" does not contain the long version of "Back to life", only a 30’’ acapella, as Fosca rightly mentioned. To Odradek: you’re right, screw Topexan (especially since it had no effect on me) also because over time I got myself together ;-) , but without overdoing it though :-)
Gotan Project Lunático

This album demonstrates that the "Gotan Project" phenomenon was not a flash in the pan but a project with solid foundations. Considering the depth of the live performances as well. Even though I prefer the first album, especially the song "Triptico." Hola!

never bought discs by the white stripes and/or by jovanotti. Anyway, I don't like The Streets.

"Dry your eyes, buddy" and "there are other fish in the sea" seem like deep phrases to you? And how can you understand what "The streets" says when he has a shitty accent and mumbles his words? Sometimes he stutters too...
Aphex Twin Selected Ambient Works 85-92
Voto:
It is undoubtedly the best album by Richard James, according to industry professionals as well. The subsequent productions have all been inferior to this one, but still of good quality. Even though I still think that Aphex is a bit overrated...

I bought it in CD form; it contains good music. The tracks are original, except for those mentioned (under cover), which are reinterpretations of other people's pieces, re-recorded with different arrangements. I hope I was clear... :-))
Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart Take Me To God

From the samples, even though I don't know the musician in question, it sounds like a good "world" music album. It's important to keep in mind that it's an album from 12 years ago. If it were released today, it would sound trivial and predictable. Bella Odra

Rick, it's not a bit of everything, it's simply black music with the mentioned influences. That's all.

Thank you, Odra, the album was released just a few days ago; it’s not listed in freedb yet and I don't know if it’s already available for download online. Ciaooo
