What a beautiful album this is... What poetry in Box of Stars... But for some time now, when I listen to it, I experience something strange, like a hallucination... in some tracks, along with Linkous's voice, I hear another one, a second voice that is even sweeter if that's possible... but what was I saying? I've never been to New York, but you describe this album so well. Everything you said is absolutely true... I really love "Janine" with all those messed-up voices in the background and the double bass of "is chicago..." it gets my foot tapping instantly, but my favorite is "true dreams of wichita," maybe because it's the sweetest little song among them all? My dearest josi_, I have to say that among all the beautiful, oh-so-beautiful albums you've introduced me to, this isn't the one that completely drives me crazy, but it definitely ranks in the top 10.
