I actually like Baricco... (do you remember that "discussion" about the Air/Baricco review by joser? It's been a while, hasn't it? :-)) Those tricks with impactful and quirky sentences... nice, even though they might get a bit tiring in the long run. I couldn’t read three of his books in a row, but one, spread out over a sufficiently long period of time, I like, I like. I haven't seen the movie.

One should add a disclaimer: It shouldn't be read in a rush, oh no, it has a slow rhythm, it needs to be savored like sips of malvasia, (even chamomile works, but malvasia sounds cooler and more 1800s) each sentence slowly. Best enjoyed sitting comfortably on a sofa, nice and warm.
