Sure you can get back into it! In fact, the idea is tempting; we could come up with a little project... By the way, Enrico, I don’t know if you read my private message, what do you think about the House of Lords, do you remember them? There was that amazing keyboardist named Giuffria, a blond pretty boy but with class to spare. For me, especially in their debut album produced by Gene Simmons, they had great potential. In your opinion, do you think they deserve a review (maybe done together with anyone who wants to join)?

I confirm both the fact that there are no immense reviewers online and that while there are certainly good ones, it is not a rule, quite the contrary! My reviews are also written without being almost ever elaborated. In reality, I know that I often should research more thoroughly, but the desire to highlight albums to which I am particularly attached, expressing my personal feelings, certainly prevails over the will to amaze the reader with a multitude of data and technicalities. I believe that a good dose of balance between the two aspects is the ideal recipe for an excellent review; then, as is obvious, some resonate more than others. For instance, I think I gave my best in the review of "Time Odyssey" by Vinnie Moore, perhaps precisely because I did my utmost to persuade the audience to listen to an extraordinary work of instrumental electric guitar, which is almost unknown to most.

Great idea, Vin! By joining forces, the potential would be significant! Plus, each of us could bring our valuable contribution; I believe the final result would be noteworthy, I'm convinced of it!

We're practically the same age, Fidia. I was 12 back then, and today, alas, 29!! How time flies! I agree with Vin; it's nice to share glimpses of our lived experiences in our respective reviews. After all, music is closely linked to memories, some beautiful, and others sometimes more unpleasant. For Enrico: I sent you a private message! See you soon, everyone!

Hi Enrico! I was indeed amazed that I didn't find this album reviewed by you!! But if you notice, there are still many works by Snake that are waiting to be highlighted on Debaser; I chose this one for two reasons: the first because I adore Steve Vai (that's obvious), the second because this album was released way back in 1989, when I was in the second year of middle school and had the courage to listen to it on my walkman (on school trips or during breaks), while others were listening to Ramazzotti! It gave me a nice adrenaline rush!! As for the rest, I agree that Snake has a subtle influence from Led Zeppelin; I think there is (as it obviously is) a greater influence from the Deep Purple era (coincidentally) Coverdale Hughes!

For Vinsex: Generation X ?? It's the same person who has called me a dumbass more than once because I dared to talk about Malmsteen... just forget about that one, I really have serious doubts about his IQ! For Ronnie Dio: the album is very nice, I didn't give it 5 stars because it could have potentially been developed even better, but it's absolutely a great album and, as Vinsex repeated, just listen to "Sailing Ships" to understand that it's definitely not the worst of the Snakes! For Aniel: I highly recommend giving it a listen!

Look Emanuele, Malmsteen has been compared by many music journalism experts to Paganini, naturally for the technique he expresses through his instrument, namely the electric guitar, and the references are indeed there. I agree with Marco on the greater inspiration from Bach and Vivaldi, honestly less from Hendrix, who, at least in terms of musical content, has had, in my humble opinion, little influence on the Swedish guitarist (it's more of an influence related to the theatrical aspect and image). That's what I meant to say.

Good job, Matt, strange that they didn’t credit you for the review. Great album, the best in terms of maturity from Mr. Big; my only note is that you perhaps didn’t mention the most beautiful song (at least in my humble opinion), "Little Mistake," with a stunning solo by Paul Gilbert and rhythms worthy of Deep Purple!
