Well, I saw them with Satriani, truly an extraordinary and unique show, but it's been almost 12 years!!

I almost forgot: check out how Uli Jon Roth sounds, on his website www.ulijonroth.com in the archives section you'll find the Sky Overture, a video of extraordinary beauty; I highly recommend it if you love the electric guitar and the great interpreters of the instrument! Bye!

So, dear Ibanez, you are very young and probably know Malmsteen only partially. If you listen to him for how he sounds today, I can understand your point—he is often repetitive, and I myself tend to prefer Vai because he offers a broader perspective and explores different musical paths. However, I recommend you listen to the early Malmsteen, the one from Rising Force, Marching Out, Trilogy, and also Alcatrazz (if you're interested, you can download some videos from www.youtube.com by searching for Alcatrazz). That was the band he played with before starting his solo career. Just look at how he played Evil Eye and all the various songs; you will notice a clear difference in sound and compositional depth compared to today. Of course, Steve Vai is great—keep listening to him and admiring his work!

Good album, but Mr. Big have done better; still, it's appreciable overall. Similarly good review.

Sure, there's Satriani, the great bluesman Jeff Healey, and many others; I really think this gem is a must-have!
