Deep Purple Stormbringer
Voto:
oh, I almost forgot Soldier of Fortune, but it's easier to just say the whole album!
Deep Purple Stormbringer
Voto:
For me, Stormbringer definitely burns; it's different from Burn but absolutely not inferior in quality. Songs like Lady Double Dealer, The Gipsy, Stormbringer, and even the extraordinary Holy Man, masterfully performed by Glenn Hughes, are timeless masterpieces!
Rainbow On Stage
Voto:
absolute masterpiece, but Live in Germany may be even superior. This period represents the absolute pinnacle of Rainbow and Ritchie Blackmore.
Symphony X The Odyssey
Voto:
How can you say that guitar-wise Romeo has nothing to do with Malmsteen? Do you live on Earth or Mars?
Symphony X The Odyssey
Voto:
I really don’t believe so; it’s well known that Romeo imitates Malmsteen, perhaps not to you, but that’s your problem, you should get better informed. If it weren’t for Malmsteen, we wouldn’t even be talking about Romeo, who is essentially a guitar shredder, one of many in the market.
Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory
Voto:
Hello Matt, yes, technique is important, but on its own it's not enough. During the Renaissance, there were extraordinary painters, equipped with exceptional technique, nearly capable of matching a Michelangelo or a Raphael, but by themselves they would never have painted a Sistine Chapel. If technique ends up becoming an end in itself rather than a means through which an artist, at any level, expresses themselves, then in my opinion it leaves very little behind.
Guns N' Roses Use Your Illusion I
Voto:
I appreciated Use your Illusion 2, but this one less so. The review can't really be defined as such.
Mr. Big In Japan
Voto:
I agree with you, Matt; Paul Gilbert did an impressive job in Mr. Big, hardly replaceable. Kotzen has different influences, and in this band he didn’t really shine, but he did great work in Poison. I had seen him play live, and I think he showcased a great talent, along with extraordinary technique.
Valkyrian Metal Festival Sinalunga 22-04-2006
Voto:
Great review Enrico, I enjoyed reading it. You write very well, as always, and you can get even an outsider like me passionate about the genre. Death metal is quite far from my preferences, I admit, but you do very well to promote a young band that seems to represent the needs of many fans of the genre very well, from what I can read. And finally, a product from Italy is being promoted rather than an American one! I'm sorry I can't delve deeper, but I admire you a lot for the work you're doing, which I hope will bring good fortune to the band and to you! Talk soon, I’m counting on it!
Steve Vai Passion And Warfare
Voto:
You wrote 5 lines about a grand album and you're calling Vai a shredder?? You better stay anonymous, otherwise you risk a lynching!!
