Thank you, Marco. I had promised a new review and here I am! This work by Vai is remarkable, and I hope to bring it to the attention of many electric guitar lovers! See you soon.

Well, you know, poohpooh, when you say he's incompetent, what do you mean then?? That he has so much talent?? Come on, please! By the way, I was talking to the reviewer, not to you; read the review and you'll see that the album is compared to Rising Force and Passion and Warfare, but if Malmsteen is a pile of crap and Vai is incompetent, then the problem doesn't exist, right? Keep your loureiro, who will surely soon do a nice G3 with Vai and Satriani and show that he’s the best guitarist in the world! Of course, in your world!

I forgot to give my opinion on Petrucci's album: it's definitely a good work, but comparing it to Passion and Warfare by Vai, Rising Force by Malmsteen, or Time Odyssey by Moore seems like a huge gamble to me, both because of the obvious differences in guitar styles and because I don't see in this album the compositional ability to stand up to works that have marked a paradigm shift in virtuous electric guitar. These are just opinions, of course, but we'll see if over the years Suspended Animation echoes a Rising Force or Passion and Warfare; I'm sure it won't!

I don't know the album in question, but I have reviewed Slip of the Tongue and Live in the Heart of the City, and I know that the Whitesnake brand is synonymous with quality, even in the context of an evident commercial operation! Good review.

Okay, I understand your point of view; we will see it in action in his upcoming solo works to make a judgment! Until next time!

Anyway, I'm really sorry, go to the website www.youtube.com and type michael romeo in the search engine. Watch the videos, some of which refer to Malmsteen, and then tell me if he doesn't imitate him and doesn't play scales like Malmsteen! Come on, you're really denying the evidence!

So, I've written a review on Vinnie Moore, which I invite you to read, specifically about Time Odyssey, so it's unlikely that I would confuse him with Romeo, especially since the difference between the two, at least for me, is vast and favors Moore, of course. As for whether Moore copies or has copied Malmsteen, I repeat, read my review if you want; I have extensively explained that he is probably the only one among the neoclassical guitar shredders who had the courage and personality, as well as the talent, to create music that is an alternative to Malmsteen's. I've already expressed my opinion on Romeo; claiming that he doesn't imitate Malmsteen and that he wasn't born under the influence of the Swede is, for me, a huge stretch. I believe anyone with a bit of common sense would agree; it's like saying that Joe Stump or Chris Impellitteri have nothing to do with Malmsteen—I'd consider that quite a bizarre opinion. Now, to be fair, Romeo uses many effects that Malmsteen does not, he often employs tapping, which Malmsteen certainly doesn't use widely, but the style is the same, let's face it. Malmsteen himself, in stating that Romeo is certainly a skilled guitarist (and I have never denied that myself if you’ve read the comments), clearly mentions that he “imitates well” in an interview. But it's up to you; if we think differently, then, of course, that’s legitimate. I, however, stand by my opinion, and yes, I have listened to the album, although I was generally referring to Romeo's style rather than this specific work.

Vai is an experimenter above all; he doesn't compose pieces to necessarily please the audience, just as Frank Zappa or Jimi Hendrix did not. But honestly, I've never heard anyone deny his talent. People may like it or not, like with any artist, but to deny his compositional skills, I repeat, is a statement that sounds like an insult and a blasphemy.

With all due respect, I really don’t know where you manage to find Hendrix in the Le Vibrazioni CD. You're free to express your opinions, but making such claims is an insult to the intelligence of those who read it and perhaps even to those who write it.
