Edvard Grieg Piano Concerto - "Peer Gynt" Suites nn. 1 e 2 - 2 Melodie Nordiche

Replace the word "irrealizzabile" in the first sentence with "impossibile"... I accidentally repeated the words realizzazione-realizzabile closely together...

The topic of dedicated sections, perhaps with different URLs, is extremely interesting, but I believe that, as is often the case when we have to think about categories and classifications, managing areas that are so subjective and personal is, from the point of view of concrete implementation, practically unachievable. The discussion about "purging" the current sub-genres of curious infiltrations (in the classical category, I find Children Of Bodom, Cradle Of Filth, and the detestable Crazy Frog by Axel F, though that was a joke review) would imply, on one hand, a titanic effort of "restoration" of existing reviews that, as rightly pointed out by zzzzzzzzzzzz, hardly anyone has the time or desire to take on; on the other hand, it would entail an editorial oversight with correction powers over new reviews, regarding which there could be many opposing viewpoints. In short, it’s a nice charade...

I join Grasshopper; being a duplicate, for once, it says something new and unconventional, perhaps not entirely agreeable, but well articulated and argued.
Franz Schubert La morte e la fanciulla (Hagen-Quartett)
Voto:
Cornerstone of Schubert's discography, for its organization, dramatic-emotional tension, and aesthetic refinement. This quartet is built on the initial theme of a homonymous lied composed by Franz in 1817, and as Lello rightly notes, it communicates a vision of death as a serene attainment of a dimension devoid of suffering, pain, and anxiety like that of the earthly realm. In it, Schubert, already for two years shaken by the symptoms of syphilis, also condenses the dark foreboding of his death, which will indeed occur just 4 years later. Good review, perhaps a bit sparse, especially in its silence on Beethoven's quartet. Nevertheless, the Hagen Quartet is practically perfect; I have the complete set of the Melos Quartet on DG, recommended for completeness maniacs like me. Also in the DG catalog, there is a lovely edition of quartets No. 13, 14, and 15 and the string quintet (with Rostropovich on cello) D 956 by the Emerson String Quartet, in three CDs (Trio series).

An essential album, indeed. However, one could get by just fine without the third review.

Completely unknown to the group and, even more seriously, labeled. Review as always very pleasant and intriguing.

I listened to it at the home of an enthusiast, and although it was very intriguing, it didn't blow me away. Nice review anyway.
