Ennio Morricone The Mission
Voto:
It is one of the soundtracks that sets the standard for the genre, positioning itself at the top. Your words are right, heartfelt, understood.

Menomena I Am The Fun Blame Monster

Note it down, I will get this Menomena as soon as possible! The 5 would be deserved just for the first paragraph, with that irresistible invocation to the indie-rock triad! I'm sorry to see that even your beautiful review, zaireeka, had to host yet another blunt opinion from a colossal youth, unpleasant not because it carries a negative evaluation, but because it lacks any argumentative core, contribution, comment, or critique. Bring on the 1s and 2s when they serve to stimulate a discussion, when they express a diametrically opposed point of view, when they aim to warn an imprecise reviewer who is too enthusiastic, biased, superficial, or plagiarizing (only if they really are, though). Here there is only the desire, for some reason, to be a spoilsport. All we can do is hope for a future, though improbable, transition from a "colossal youth" to a serious maturity.
Dexter Gordon Our Man In Paris
Voto:
@ zaireeka: thank you for your support, I see that we both tried to engage in a dialogue and constructive debate with our critical interlocutor, only to receive in return a "colossal" argumentative void; @ bubu7: thank you for the "perseverance" in the generosity of judgment and, particularly, for having understood and shared the reference to Coleman Hawkins, deliberately ignored by those who had an interest in not highlighting it.

Everything damn beautiful!
Erik Satie Gymnopédies 1-3

Music that builds a small, fragile world around you... highly recommended, apart from the version of Celletti justly mentioned by odra, the complete piano works of Satie by Jean-Yves Thibaudet, in 5 CDs for Decca. Good review.

Thank you surferjoeshot, buying "Places" is of course highly recommended!
