Keith Jarrett La Scala

Touching and intense review. I believe that hearing Jarrett live, especially solo, is a unique experience, unlike any other—a close encounter with the purest art. I hope to savor a moment like that someday, but I fear I may have already missed the next opportunity (the concert at La Fenice next July).

It seems very interesting, although I tend to be cautious when it comes to jazz crossovers: they can lead to brilliant things or unheard-of nonsense. Any examples? Great review.

Symbad, I have two albums released under the name Mark Turner that feature Rosenwinkel. They took their first steps together making twin albums (on the ones under Rosenwinkel's name, Turner played, and vice versa) and touring together. Then I completely lost track of Turner, while Rosenwinkel continued with wide and growing success. I saw them live together and it was truly a great concert, both impressive for their technique and absolutely avant-garde ideas. The albums I was telling you about are "Dharma Days" and "Ballad Session." Maybe I’ll sneak in a review.

Absolutely a must-have! It’s one of the records I play most often for my listener, and placing it on the same level as "Kind Of Blue" seems to me to be an impeccable operation: the balance, the internal dynamics, the freshness make it a true classic of jazz (if it’s ever correct to talk about classicism in jazz).

How nice, until now I had always listened to it accompanied by various Evans, Shorter, Corea and I had missed his outings as a leader. Thank you and Bravissimo as always Symbad.

The review and cover exude sensuality. Absolutely intriguing.
