Claude Debussy Prélude à l'Après-Midi d'un Faune
Voto:
I enjoyed this review; it is precise, well-written, and a real pleasure to read, with a particular merit: it manages to describe Debussy's music without resorting to the overly used comparison with Impressionist painting, a cliché that, although grounded, increasingly sounds trite and annoying. I disagree with the note: I always prefer an examination of the performance because music, beyond its universality, lives and renews itself through the interpretations of various artists, each of which is capable, at certain levels, of adding or revealing new and different aspects of a score. I have a stunning version by Bernstein with the S. Cecilia Orchestra (it also contains "La Mer" and "Image") for DG, highly recommended.
John Coltrane Olè Coltrane
Voto:
Among Coltrane's best, this "Olè" features three beautiful tracks, always at the forefront of experimentation, yet so universal that they quickly rise to the status of classics. A timely, accurate, and comprehensive review.

Ah, how beautiful this is! Fantastic Symbad, you always unveil the works of the phenomenal musicians I encounter on other people’s records. Indeed, this shopping list is getting embarrassingly long...
Johannes Brahms Concerto per pianoforte n° 2 Op. 83
Voto:
Exceptional review both in the analysis and commentary of the titanic Concerto No. 2, and in the emphases, highly effective and precise, balancing between musicology and music history. The concerto is wonderful in its round fullness and its hyper-trophy, which give the listener a musical experience of blinding beauty. I have the version with Zimerman on piano and the Vienna Philharmonic conducted by Bernstein.

John Cale Music For A New Society
Voto:
I’ve never listened to him, but if his music conveys even a gram of the inspiration that permeates the review, well, it will definitely be a delightful listen. The little notes are very interesting.
Dijf Sanders To Be A Bob
Voto:
Not exactly my genre, but certain references pique my interest a bit: maybe a few simple ones? Anyway, great review.
Demetrio Stratos Cantare La Voce
Voto:
Very demanding listening, but I agree with Odra; if properly framed and understood, it's a fundamental job. Great shot, Zarathustra.
Celtic Frost Monotheist
Voto:
I too will hardly take on this album, but the review sets a new standard for discussing metal: well done, sfascia, as usual.
Brisa Roché The Chase
Voto:
I have just experienced the following lightning strikes, in order: for the excellent review by m.lle Haira, enriched by colorful and delightful comparisons; for eclecticism as the guiding principle in music; for the undeniable beauty of the here-reviewed Brisa Rochè (even if the name might suit a poodle or a chocolate), accentuated by her glassy eye and the enticing bite of her lip.
