I listen to choose what to buy. The point is this: if you like it, you buy it; if you realize it's not worth the purchase, you delete it. Amen.

Ah, the MBV are really great, but after a while, they inevitably get on your nerves. As someone I can't remember said: "I think the shoegazers were looking at the ground to find their dropped balls."

Maybe... to not steal?

Not just mine. Down By Law had already been reviewed (greatly, I think) by Dante Cruciani.

Anyway, to be picky: it's not true that it's impossible to find. A few days ago I saw it at fnac (this one and the previous one) for 10?

@cellardoor: I agree with you (but it doesn't seem to me that anyone said it's a difficult album). Regarding whether they're showing off or not: the reviewer is more ;) //@Thirdeye: why would criticizing the reviewer not be respectful? I did it with the utmost respect, it seems to me. Otherwise, we can all pretend to always be in agreement, but what would be the point of debaser?

Damn, another one! This record IS shoegaze.

Well, the Comets fall into the hard-psychedelia of the 70s. The reviewer says so too: "stoner, kraut, noise, a tribute to the sounds of the sixties/seventies." Then, the fact that they are two very different bands is indisputable.

Guys, I really can’t keep up with you. No wonder I previously associated pretazzo with easycure :) Responding to your comments would require an immense effort that I’m not inclined to make (nor perhaps am I capable of). For me, listening to music means: following the vibes, moving on instinct, accepting and giving (exchanging) advice. It means: I like this/ I don’t like that. It means: if I like this album, what else might I enjoy? It means: what could you recommend that will change my life? These are the reasons I ended up on DeBaser, and all in all, I’m swimming in it with pleasure. I’ve told you before: let’s leave splitting hairs to the so-called critics. I don’t deny that sometimes the pleasure of listening to an album is mostly intellectual, but it’s the "intellectualizations" that frighten me. In my humble opinion: it’s much better to not understand a damn thing than to create your own history of rock. The key point is this: for me, rock is NOT dying.

Technically, it would be a three, but the heart says four. Calling Lightning With A Scythe is pure cotton candy, stunning. At the beginning of 2008, they come out with their second album.
