This is quite ugly, Alessio. A syrupy voice that doesn't connect at all, and I personally find it annoying and irritating. Sure, there's a lot of melody, but it's all a bit haphazard, with no track that sends chills down my spine or stands out particularly. I've listened to it several times because on paper I should love it. But nothing, as far as I'm concerned, it's a flat rejection. And more than Minutemen, I'd say Husker Du. Haloah

Nice, yes. I have an Iceburn record that I’ve hardly ever listened to (and I don’t know where I put it).

Boh, that rocks, I checked your listens on last.fm and... they confirm my thesis. Not that I really care about launching an anti-scaruffi inquisition, quite the opposite. I was just talking for the sake of it. Instead, I hadn't even noticed that you were following me, let's love each other!

Nothing against you Laggio, I enjoy your reviews and I follow you with pleasure. And I think you have your own ideas and an open mind. However, it’s unfortunate that you deny the obvious like this, and I’m being a bit of a picky pain in the ass (and a little mean). Of the following "artists," you chose to review the album to which Scaruffi assigns the highest rating within the group’s discography (in some cases even against the evidence of their merits): 1) Cows 2) Pram 3) Camper Van Beethoven 4) David Peel 5) Lycia 6) Gravitar 7) Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet 8) Jon Hassel 9) Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band 10) Rudimentary Peni 11) Neu! 12) Grifters 13) Fugazi 14) Honeymoon Killers 15) Space Streakings. Out of all these 15 (out of 21 music reviews written), your choice has been Scaruffi's, and in some cases, the discography was quite extensive. There are tons of equally valid unknown bands that Scaruffi does not consider. That said, PROOOOOOTTTTTT.

@Laggio and Spacca: there's nothing wrong with reading Scaruffi (though other critics are better), I’ve done it too. And indeed, as you say, I’ve also reviewed some of "his" albums (though you're mistaken about the "volume" issue) and I think he often has great taste (and of course, like everyone, he sometimes says nonsense). The fact is, we always go around those records, but it’s not true that he has reviewed everything. Obviously, everyone then forms their own opinions. But perhaps it would be good to form them about other things too.

Thanks pretazzo, are you gone? In the meantime, I’ll grab it from the quick sharer.

I remember the cover, maybe they went on Chris's blog? Always stuff to jot down in the notebook, dear supersoul.

The impression is a three. Never trust impressions. In the meantime, I take refuge in the originals from forty years ago.

I also have the double version, and it doesn’t seem that deep and spiritual to me as you say (it is mind-blowing though). Rece czzona fits.
