"Absolutely", sorry I'm a bit dysgraphic... Claudio, I agree with your statement that maybe it's not understood (or maybe I didn't understand it and misinterpreted it?) :)

Why does it really hurt? It's a matter of tastes, we've already said it several times. No one is rambling here; we're discussing calmly, okay? I absolutely agree with you when you say that a good guitarist shouldn't be all technique and no feel, and personally, I find Petrucci and Malmsteen (especially the former) disgusting. However, the statement that Queen was a fundamental band for all music is something I can't share. The fundamental ones were Slint, Husker Du, Faust, but not Queen at all!

Nearly unreadable review (for an illiterate like me) but splendid (as usual). As for the reviewed artists, I've never heard them mentioned (as is customary). Best regards and plenty of compliments, indeed. Good night, your F. di (s)f.

Well, for me Freddie is a rather banal author (and here the often-quoted Latin saying applies), nonetheless he has composed a few noteworthy songs: I agree with you on The Prophet Song (which, if I remember correctly, is by May) and Bohemian Rhapsody, while the others you mention don’t really convince me much. On the other hand, as has already been said, Freddie primarily cared about being a good "entertainer" and art (I hope you will agree) has little to do with simple entertainment. X Undying: quality music? I really wouldn’t know, I certainly don’t want to proclaim myself the "voice of truth" like many music critics often do. If you want to know my tastes, just click on my name; if I had to define "quality music," I would say something original, written with sincerity, and that opens the mind; well, I’m not too convinced by this definition. Good night (I enjoy these musical discussions) :)

These Quicksand seem really intriguing and the review is nothing short of amazing. I will make sure to listen to them carefully.

Undying, the fact that May built the guitar by himself and had a unique sound (and played it with a coin) doesn’t mean much to me from an artistic standpoint. That Queen have an extraordinary melodic talent is beyond question; the real issue is whether they have applied it to quality music or not. Regarding Claudio and the songs he mentions, I’d say a nice "De Gustibus" fits perfectly here. Cheers :)

A quick and succinct review, like a nice punk tune. Regarding Rancid, I reiterate my comment on "And Out Come the Wolves...": they are uninspired imitators of the Clash. Full of grit and just the right amount of rancid (in a positive sense), though.

Exaggerated De-Reviewer, don't you think that 5 stars are a bit much for an album of such obvious mediocrity?

Absolutely agreed, F.M. was primarily a great "entertainer."
