Certainly innovative?!?! The Litfiba were better than many other groups but offered the usual Italian stuff copied from abroad... A truly alternative band were the Pankow (same city, same years, very different caliber).

Lately, I've been struggling a bit to keep up with the dizzying rotation of reviews—so many of them—but I gladly pause on the writings of Donjunio. I'm not familiar with the album (as usual...)

I would rather say that it has had the DE-merit of influencing the aforementioned, indigestible bands. (my opinion, of course).

Nice review, well done. But I don't understand if you're being ironic when you say: "if bands like Stratovarius, Symphony X, Adagio, Vision Divine and the myriad of neo progressive bands exist, the MERIT is his."

The Gun Club Death Party

Oops, I must admit that calling Miami a slight misstep was a bit daring. I consider it an excellent album, but a notch below the other two masterpieces. @psychopompe: the trajectories aren’t quite those of Fire of Love; let’s say it’s a mix of Miami (you can feel more of their voodoo blues, as alias says) and the debut (Death Party is more incendiary than Miami, though not as much as FoL). @gabbox: it’s true, JLP surrounded himself with great musicians, and it seems to me that this is the best lineup of the Gun Club, even though they recorded only one EP. The guitars have a fantastic sound.

Faust I is available on eBay, imported from Japan in an edition that tries to resemble the original as closely as possible (clear case with the X-ray, etc.). For less than 20 euros, you can grab it. Otherwise, there's the cheaper edition (but less cool) that includes Faust and So Far.

I read the review drawn in by your nickname (immensi B.Surfers) and I must say it's nice. I've always heard good things about Dirty3 but I've never had the chance to listen to them.

True true, I read about the Hymnen in the krautrock sampler and that's why I downloaded it ages ago. All I have to do now is listen to it, even though I already know it will be quite a struggle. I tried starting to write the review of Electronic Meditation, but I just can't seem to finish it. I tried with Yeti, and no luck there either. Now I'm attempting with the first Ash Ra Tempel album, but I know already that nothing will come of it. I'm looking forward to more kraut reviews from you, from Airone, Tollani, psychopompe, eneathedevil, and the other kraut enthusiasts.

Hat off. At this point, I need to listen to Hymnen as soon as possible.
